Good day all.. And may I say again... Great application. I followed the ISPconfig3 Ubuntu 9.04 perfect server to a T.... http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-ubuntu-9.04-ispconfig-3 After the install and many, many hours... I finally got the email working. My squirrel mail was working and I could send email in/out. My next step was to start migrating joomla from my old servers. I modified the DNS (godaddy) to re-point to the new server. I created the websites in ispconfig3. When I attempt to hit the http://www.schnellit.com I would get "It Works". I turned on SSL and attempted to hit https://www.schnellit.com. my kickback was "forbidden.. You don't have permission to access / on this server." After multiple reboots of the server (for other reasons). I get that response when I attempt to access http:// or https://. Oh yea.. Almost forgot. I get the same response when I try to get my webmail http://schnellit.com/webmail.. Forbidden. Guess I am just not meant to receive emails.... Could someone point me in the write direction?? Is there some kind of POST admin guide for ISPconfig3 yet? This would be a great help for all the people that are using your awesome app... If you want to use ssl for a site, you will have to assign a dedicated IP for this site by adding the IP under system and then select the IP for the website. Please be aware that you will not be able to access webmail o phpmyadmin trogh this IP anymore as it is assigned to this website now. A solution is to add a new website for webmail or phpmyadmin and then install a copy of phpmyadmin and squirrelmail into this site.
OK.. I set the IP address selection static not "*". The website seems to work with SSL now.. Question: Will I be able to use the same SSL for multiple sites? About the squirrel mail and phpmyadmin... Are these no longer available via the ISPconfig 3 install? Were can I find the admin / user docs so I do not asking insanely dumb questions anymore. Thanks Tony
They are available on that install but no longer trogh this IP as they run on the default vhost. There is no user documentation available yet.
