After several frustrating weeks of trying to install SuSE 11.3 (i586) and trying to get ISPConfig (The Perfect Server SuSE 11.3) working I decided that Einstein was right: "A man who constantly does the same thing and expects a different result is insane."

Therefore I decided to try something different and install ISPConfig on top of Ubuntu 10.04. Up until item 17 in the Perfect Server Howto all went swimmingly then at the step "a2enmod dav-fs" I get the error "Module dav-fs does not exist" After some research I find that dav-fs is part of apache2 which I installed as the first step in item 17.

Additional information: I finished the installation (i have no idea what if anything the above will have.) and at the end of the ISPConfig mcompilation I got the error "Syntax error on line 3 of /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/php5.conf. This appears to be a line inserted by the ISPConfig build. Will this have any effect or cause any problems?

Again, I'm not sure if this relates to any of the above but I can not access any of my websites. I've set up DNS records and sites per the first steps Howto and yet I get told "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server."

    I await your wisdom.
