When I restore files or database of a site, how can I check whether the process has finished, or whether it was successful or not?
    Thanks a lot.

For databases, PMA normally shows when it finished restoring the database.

For files, I use elfinder - a web file manager, which also shows when it finished uploading and extracting the files.

In short, it really depends on the software or the platform you are using.

I think you are refering to a manual restore.
I meant when you use the restore button in ispconfig GUI, how the process can be monitored somehow.
Thanks a lot for your help.

Yes. That is because you did not specify your question and I personally do not use ISPConfig backup to restore as I mentioned above.

The process (or any process) will normally be shown on top of the page and should be finished when the process numbers are diminished from it.

There should also be log file that you can tail too but that is to be done from the CLI, not ISPConfig GUI.
