Monitor App IP

The checks carried out by the ISPConfig3 Monitor App originate from the IP of the mobile device or from one or more IPs of ISPConfig servers?

I ask this because checking some ESXi host (eg ports 22 and 443) that can only be reached by some IP, these are accessible by clients (SSH/browser) on the smartphone but not from the ISPConfig App on the same device.

If so, may I know the IP address from which checks are originated?
So that I can specify them in the firewall policy.

    Thanks.

This depends on the type of check. The pings are from one of the ispconfig servers (78.46.59.59) as many mobile providers block ping requests in their networks, so it wont work reliable when the app would try to ping the server itself. The requests for the monitor data originate from the IP of the app / mobile phone directly to port 8080 of the ispconfig interface server.

Hi Till thank you for the info.

My problem happens only checking some services firewall protected; I have no problem monitoring ISPConfig3 and may other devices/services (non ISPConfig).

    Example:
some esxi hosts of the customers, are accessible from wan but only from certain IP addresses (including that of my office).

From my office via wifi with a smartphone (and therefore with a static IP accepted by the firewall) I can access to port 22 using an SSH app and to port 443 using Android browser, but ISPConfig Monitor App sees those ports offline.

This makes me think that some controls are mediated by one of your servers.

I explained above that some functions go trough or server and that the monitordata is retrieved directly and I posted the IP of the server, in case that you want to whitelis it.

Sorry, I understood that *only* the ping should occur from your server.
