I setup the site www.myincometax.ca with a DNS and MX record. I then later pointed the MX record for the site to another server (separate from the web DNS record). When I login to my webmail on the server that used to host the DNS and MX (now only hosts the DNS), and send an email to a user @myincometax.ca, I receive an error when trying to send the message (just says error when I use squirreloutlook). I then removed the MX record in ISPConfig and in the DNS manager, but it still doesn't seem to correct the problem. Is there anywhere else I should be deleting the information for the MX record?

Do I set the mailserver to external in ISPConfig?? If you are asking me to set it in the DNS manager for the domain, that won't fix the problem. Please explain in more detail please.

    Yes.

I'am not talking about DNS-Manager. You must set the mailserver to external in the web settings and in the settings of all the co-domains of this website.
