Hi all, I have finally installed Debian etch 4 onto VMWare player, and using the "perfect Server" setup howto, I am finally happy with my Debian setup. One catch: I would like to now replace the Windows2003 OS with the Debian setup on the server. Can I make a bootable, installable iso from the VMware image that I have? Can I install it on another machine from the VMWare on this Windows Server, and remove this one from service? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Heeter ________ genetically modified food
You could create an image of your virtual machine, e.g. with SystemImager or Ghost4Linux, and then install that image on a real server. http://www.howtoforge.com/howto_linux_systemimager http://www.howtoforge.com/back_up_restore_harddrives_partitions_with_ghost4linux
