Multiple mail servers - same domain, best practice?

    Hi, loving using ISPConfig.

Currently running a server hosted by a local provider in Australia, all is working fine.

I'd like to be able to have local servers in my home lab that send SMTP notifications (Joomla and other applications). These notifications would only be sent to an "admin" recipient in my local domain.

When I try to setup for example Joomla notifications, I get HELO rejections/failures. I have an external DNS and internal DNS in my home lab. The home lab is naturally behind a NAT firewall.

What would generally the best practice configuration in my ISPConfig postfix server out in the hosted environment to allow a ISPConfig server located in my home lab to send/relay SMTP mail to it.

    When you write
    do you mean sending e-mail?
Set up your home lab host to use smart host for sending out to internet, and setup your hosted server to work as smart host to your home lab e-mail server and only for your home lab server. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smart_host
