Hi just adding a few new servers to my setup and its just struck me that the servers connecting to the main webserver according to the guide dont get clamav installed or rkhunter? is there a reason behind this or should this really be added to the guides? chers all, Matt
Clamav is used to scan the emails for viruses, so it makes only sense to install it on mailservers. Rkhunter should be installed on each server.
Is this automatic or should it be manual, in another post I did state that we do get emails tagged as ** Spam ** but not ** Virus ** or deleted. Running clamav -r and removing does work and finds them in ./var/vmail but ideally would be to use it automatic vs cron or manual.
