I installed ispconfig3 on one box, using the db on another in expert mode. After a little trouble with faulty db permissions it went up. When creating databases for clients, they are not created on the db-server. I tried to add the db-server as a server in the webb-ui, still no luck. I feel like I am missing something very basic here. Do I need to make a ispconfig install on the db-server too? Have a nice day.
I think ISPConfig database should be in the ISPConfig server itself while all other database can be on your db server.
The ISPConfig 3.1 manual has in chapter 3.2.1.7 Adjust the Server Settings In ISPConfig how to assign services to hosts in the multiserver setup. Check that, maybe then the databases go to where you want them to go. Plus, what Ahrasis said is true. But now I notice you wrote Indeed you must install ISPConfig on all the servers you want to add to the multiserver setup. Consult he ISPConfig 3.1 manual, https://www.ispconfig.org/documentation/
