HELLO EVERY ONE IM NEW IN HERE. I JUST WANTED TO ENQUIRE, CAN ANYBODY HELP ME, TO SET UP A MX SERVER OT SOMETHING. I JUST HEARD ITS GOOD, THAT MAKES YOUR MAIL DELIVER AND NOT GO TO SPAM. I HAVE A PHP MAILER ON MY HOST, BUT IT GOES TO JUNK/BULK MAIL AND AT TIMES, IT DOES NT GET DELIVERED AT ALL. DOES ANY BODY WHY? I WOULD BE GREATFULL HAPPY IF SOME ONE WITH GOOD EXPERIENCE, CAN HELP ME ON THIS ISSUE.... OR IF ANY ONE CAN RECOMMEND THE BEST WAY HOW TO GET INBOX MAIL TO MY CUSTOMERS. So mail to any of your customers ends up in the "spam / junk" box. With hotmail, gmail and yahoo it's importand that you have a correct SPF record. With hotmail your DNS (the MX and mail part) needs to be 100% correct! It does not matter what OS or mailserver you use. If you do not have a SPF record and a good setup MX / Mail, your mail might (will) endup in the spam folders! With Hotmail, it will not even arrive! Test your domain @ www.dnsreport.com (enter it in the DNS report box) If you want, than post the results here! A warning or fail (in the MX and mail part) are not good (especially for Hotmail)
I Dont Know Anything About Sdp Or Set Up Mx Record. I Just Upload Php Script To My Hostmy Host And Copy And Paste The Emails In The Blank Section And Send Mails. But Thats Where I Get Problems, It Does Nt Deliver.. Can You Be Of Anymore Help To Help Me Rectifiy That Problem.. Your Help Would Be Really Appreciated. Many Thanks
So you do not have access to the DNS settings. In that case I think that you need to contact the owner of the server to get this fixed. Do you mind posting your domain?
Okay. It looks like you are missing a "SPF record". I do not know how to use Cpanel, and FTP access can not fix this. Googling "Cpanel SPF record" does give a lot of info! Maybe this is of some use to you? One more thing. Hotmail is very strict! You might need to email Hotmail, and ask if they add your domain to what they call the SenderID program.
I can not see this. All I did was http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=kingmillers.com It's showing me that you are missing a SPF record. As I do not know Cpanel, I do not know if you can or can not add a SPF record with it (my guess is that you can with Cpanel, but I do not know how)
When people usually Buy Domain and Host, from webhosting companys, do they usually have access to the DNS Settings or do you have to request from the webhost, for the DNS Settings. Kindly confirm Thanks
