Hello, Every 3 or 4 days I cannot log into Ispconfig due to signon/password error. I have been using the same signon/password for a couple of months now but I am continually having to use SSH to reset my password. Is there anyway that I can make my password stick?

    Thanks
    Tom

ISPConfig is not altering your password, so you should try to find out what or who is altering it. It might be that you use some kind of automated password fill-in function in your browser that messes things up, or maybe you have another admin who co-administers the server and changes the password. Or, your system was compromised and the attacker tries to kick you out of the admin login by changing the password.

    Hello Till,
I am a 1 person company and the only person that can access Ispconfig and SSH on my server. I sometimes use windows 11 on my laptop (remote desktop connection) to access Ispconfig on my main pc. Sometimes I access Ispconfig from my laptop directly. Sometimes I am signed into Ispconfig from my Laptop and main PC at the same time (concurrent connections from 2 different devices). I do not use password managers (I cut and paste from a word doc).
I am new to Ispconfig. What settings would you recommend to help stop attackers? Which should I look for to check to see if i am already compromised?
I will change my password and use a new Ispconfig generated password.
    Thank you!
    Tom
