MyDNS forwarders in Lenny Perfect Server

I followed the Debian Lenny Perfect Server tutorial and installed ISPConfig 3. This tutorial installs MyDNS rather than Bind, which is what I am used to on my other servers. In fact, I run a split view Bind configuration on my network.

I had an issue with my new Lenny server in that it couldn't resolve external addresses. In my other servers, I would configure the Bind local options with the addresses of my ISP DNS servers and then allow Bind to perform recursive lookups for machines on the LAN.

Is there such a setup in MyDNS? Otherwise, the only option I could get to work in the mean time was to add the ISP DNS servers to /etc/resolv.conf. Is this the correct approach with MyDNS?

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but you cuold use the recursive directive in /etc/mydns.conf.
