mydns server : offline, but sites works ?!!

    Hi,

    in the monitor ispconfig panel, i have a warning :

    mydns server : offline

    but my sites works, this is normal ? I have this warning for 2 weeks now

    when I try:

    /etc/init.d/mydns start

    it gives me:

    Starting DNS server: mydnsks37116:~#

    how to launch mydns correctly?

    What's the output of

    ?

    Are there any MyDNS related errors in your logs?

    mydns is not running. Have you installed any Linux system updates right before the problems startd?

    I do not think so

    if it is disabled, why the sites are online? :confused:

    Either the secondary dns server is still working, the records are still listed in caching dns servers or your server is not authoritive for the domains.
