Hello, I have setup a multiserver setup with Ubuntu 12.04 and the perfect server guide. (Apache and MySQL 5.5) After the setup it works great but sometimes my websites with a database give my a error. Webserver and Database server are different servers. Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL. Websites without a database running fine. When i get the error message, i can ping form the webserver to the DB server and from the DB server to webserver. I think it is a problem with MySQL. I have also start al over again with a clean installation but i get the same problem. With older versions (Ubuntu 10.04 perfect server setup) it runs without a problem. I hope that someone can help my.
Yes, it looks like your MySQL is crashing for some reason. Is it running when the crash occurs? Is there something in the logfiles which may indicate what happend and when? Was the server overloaded and out of resources? If you want to get help please provide us with as much information as possible. Thanks,
Hello, thanks for the reply. This setup is a test situation for my new hosting. I don't think it is a resource problem. After a reset the problem wil show up sometimes, not always. I'm a newby on MySQL but i don't see something strange in the logfiles. When i have this problem, after a while the problem goes away and everything is running normal. (I have nothing to do) Question: when a MySQL crasht will it be automaticly come back and run normal or is a restart nessecerly. I have installed this multiserver setup with the this guide. The Perfect Server - Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Apache2, BIND, Dovecot, ISPConfig 3). At this moment i had no further information.
