Hi, I see a lot of tutorials that talk about MySQL replication but they all show different IPs for master and slave and do not seem to think that it is important to clarify whether one needs two separate physical servers. My question: is there any step by step tutorial to set up a slave and a master on my same server (Dual Xeon, my own dedicated hosting, and I have two IP addresses)? Thanks for any advice or pointers!
