I'm trying to determine what controls the MySQL service upon boot up. I need to modify the start time for it but have not been able to figure out where to do so. I need my encryption software to start before S20, which I have done, but anywhere I see mysql starting and remove it, it still starts before S15. Any help would be greatly appreciated. --Steve
Hasn't ubuntu switched to dependency-style bootup? So it might be that another startup script has "mysql" as dependency, so it is fired immediately.
