I told my customer: "use ftp and then cd into backup dir, there u will find your backups" but, sadly, using ftp one can't access backup dir, my customer were right. is this by design or am i missing something and have a wrong or incomplete configuration?
Ensure that you enabled the option "Backup dir. readable for website FTP users." under system > server config on your server. The backup permissions are updated when the next backup is done at night.
