    Hello,

After setting up the ISPConfig on my new OpenVZ vps box, I followed these guidelines to setup the dns for "mydomain.com"

    http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showpost.php?p=146326&postcount=8

Then I created a client and logged in as that client and added a new site "mydomain.com" (i checked it to auto create www subdomain) and on godaddy i set the nameservers to ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com

When i visit the url http://www.mydomain.com in the browser, i can see the welcome page from the ISPConfig.

HOWEVER, when i visit the domain name without the www pre-fix, so only http://mydomain.com i no longer see the welcome page, instead i see the text "It Works!" and the url is re-directed to - http://mydomain.com/apache2-default/

Where have I gone wrong? Can someone help me figure this one out please? Thanks in advance.

okay I fixed it my self by doing some trial-and-error.

first you have to remove the dnz record "a" with the name "mydomain.tld." which has the data "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" server ip.

Then in the /etc/apache2/sites-enabled open the 000-default file and delete everything inside it and save the file and restart the apache2 server.

Vola, it all works fine now :)
