Hi all, first of all, thanks for great ISPCONFIG and howtoforge forums, very wanderfull information are here second: I need your opinion, I have small company for web design and I want to make small host for my customers(free), my question is : shell I make for each domain a master DNS ? all domains have the same nameserves in registration tld: ns1.mycompany.rr xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx ns2.mycompany.rr xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx what is the best practice for build DNS with ISPCONFIG? and regarding firewall, I am using firewall script(not ntsysv iptables) file, can I run ISPCONFIG with this script also? If you want to run your own nameservers, take a look at this tutorial: http://www.howtoforge.com/ispconfig_dns_godaddy You can use whatever firewall you want, but make sure you don't switch on ISPConfig's firewall then as it will interfere with the other one. Also make sure you open port 81 (for ISPConfig) in your existing firewall.
