I'm trying to install ISPConfig3 on a CentOS 8 stream server but none of the repos have the php7.2-cgi .rpm package in them and pointing a browser to the login control panel fails. research indicates the php7.2-cgi .rpm package is needed and none of the active repos on the net contain this package. Can someone tell me where to find this package either on the NET for download or in a repo? Thanks

Why shall this be needed? At least for ISPConfig, its not needed. I guess you asked an AI and it halluzinated..

If you want to use ISPConfig, I highly recommend using one of the recommended distributions which are debian and Ubuntu:
    https://www.howtoforge.com/ispconfig-autoinstall-debian-ubuntu/

Problem is like this case - /threads/solved-500-internal-server-error-after-upgrading-to-ispconfig-3-2.85570/ Al least the error messages were the same :) (Can't yet post links)

incidentally, has the same issue with an attempted install on openSUSE.
I'm odd in that I'm trying to keep the Linux servers the same flavor being as we're moving from CentOS to openSUSE. Over 20 years of RedHat / CentOS and now openSUSE tends to put me in the .rpm world.

You refer to a 6 year old thread on a different OS showing a generic error that the PHP on the OS is not working or not found.

As expected, OpenSuSE has not been supported by ISPconfig for many years as nobody uses it anymore in the hosting industry. There is no current ISPConfig version that supports this OS, see system requirements on ISPConfig website.

As I said, if you want an easy to install and maintainable ISPConfig system, use one of the recommended OS.
