    Hello
sorry to post a new one after my old post got very big, I have a server and i followed all the instrauctions to set it up, also put most important files in my old post , experts on the forum corrected some files for me and i did it, everything on the server & ispconfig works good but i am still no where my big problem is:
1- I can see the my site on my server if i write: www.mydomain.com
2- From outside (web) i can not get to it : page cannot be displayed
3- If i write the IP 192.XX.XX.XX on another computer i got a page says
SharedIP says (instead of using the ip write the domain name)
4- I setup the dns and other settings on ispconfig as instructed on the
forum , where private ip goes and public ip goes.
5- I checked the ports on ispconfig and the server (network tools) it is all
open, also ping the site name works ok.:)
6- I setup a static ip on my router also forward ports as the instructions
    says from netgear.
7- I ran commands on the server : nslookup, dig,etc.. all are OK.
Thanks to mr/Falko and Till for alot of help to correct the files.
I am just now cannot understand what could be the reason for that, or
    what could be missing?
    Any help will be appreciated.:)

It could be that your provider is blocking port 80!

Do you mind posting your domain here?

I could be wrong but it sounds like to me that you haven't set up your router properly. Assuming that you used dhcp to set up the server, go into your router, lets work on apache first, give it a name like web1 for eg, set the in bound and out bound ports at 80, then you need the ip of the server. try accessing with the domain name and by ip. Post what your findings are.

    Hello and thanks

    hello
    thanks for your response.
my router is little old model but the setup for the ports is not like the new ones , anyway you set services, and rules.
i setup services : out & Inbound to Tcp80 that is the only choice for port
80 does not give you UDP, then i create rules to forward ports also it is
diffirent way TCP/UDP then start port 20 end 443.
in the services it says "send to lan server : 192.XX.XX.XX
here is the link to how to forward ports :
    http://kbserver.netgear.com/kb_web_files/N101145.asp#FR114PAnchor
    my model is FM114P
also i have to mension i setup reserved table for static IP to : 192.XX.XX.XX
I put the site name i got the same results also the IP the same.
Thanks very much for your help.:)

    Thanks again

    hello again
I change it to only TCP but even to choose both it does not bother it just
gives you more choices, but anyway i change it and results are the same.
The network interfaces are correct 100%
I think it got to be one of these:
1-a dns problem either in ispconfig or from one of the files.
    2- port problem blocked.
but i checked the ports and even on ispconfig it shows all open.
The only thing if you know ispconfig very good, i would need to know if my dns setup is right:
    Under Managment/ settings : i put the router private address 192 168.XX.XX
Under ISP Manager : I put the same 192.168.XX.XX
    Under DNS Manager/Domain : I put the system public ip : 97.81.XX.XX
Under DNS Manager/ARecord : The same public ip : 97.81.XX.XX
also i checked port 80 on the canyouseeme.org here what it says:
success: I can see your service on 97.XX.XX.XXX on port (80)
Your ISP is not blocking port 80
also i did some report on the web and i got :
Loop detected! Probable cause is lame delegation to server with cached NS data
Security: Server ns2.kandkmarket.com (24.XX.XX.X) is recursive
    Thanks:)

Using the scan option from ISPconfig withing your network will not work for looking if a port is open on your router!
(it will only scan within your private network)

To me it does not look like your DNS is setup correct, or that your ISP is blocking the needed ports!
I can also not ping any of your nameservers and website!

My suggestion is to do a "real" port scan 1st from an other PC (again it should NOT be within your network) and see if your DNS port (53) and port 80 are open.

    Hello edge
    Thanks for your help.
I did a good port scan on my laptop and put the public IP for port 53 it says (closed or filtered) & port 80 says (open) i think you are right it could be from
    the ISP.
Now where i registered the domain offer DNS for $10 a year, do you think this will solve this problem ?
when i called my isp they don't no what i am talking about + they said (you should not run a server on our ip).
Thanks alot for your help and happy holidays.:)

Yes this could be an option, but you could also get a DNS for free.
    Have a look at www.zoneedit.com
