needs a simple GUI backup to DVD-R ?

I have debian etch 4,and i tried the backup
programs comes with it,each one keeps saying
Failed , all i am looking for is a simple GUI
backup software, so i can backup my new
built server after my old one crashed
and i couldn't save it, so my question
is what is the best reliable one for backup
and restore, i said GUI because i am not
great in command line with linux yet
i have ghost 4 linux but it doesn't do
dvd or cd.
also i have external USB hd if this will work.
Any help will be appreciated also i hope
i posted in the right category.

I think with Ghost4Linux you can store the backup on an external HDD.

to be safe , when i use g4l it gives me choices :
hda,hda1,hda2 which one should i select ?
hda or hd1 ?
also it is confusing little bid where it it says :
select target/source
which one to choose first, the
target or the source ? because i think
what happen to me first time i used it
on the old server that i select the
wrong one so i overwrited the hda.
so should i choose backup/resore to
hard disk ?
