Hello, I've been looking into this issue for a while, and there is either not an answer yet, or it's so buried I haven't been able to find it. When creating a new site, I cannot add an IPv4 address. As shown below: However, I can create the site, but the site doesn't work. I have to SSH into my server and edit the file itself and add the IP to get it working properly. I understand I need to keep 1 thread to 1 issue, however I think this might be related: After I configure a site, if I go back in and add a subdomain, etc. It does not seem to configure correctly. I have to edit the vhost file manually. Any help is appreciated! My server is running 20.04 Ubuntu Currently on ISP Config 3.2.10p1
We basically don't need to put an IP in there. My basic understanding's that field will be removed in the future but I am not sure when. You only need to check if your dns server or nat router is pointing the intended domain or sub domain to that server IP and that should suffice.
The screenshot you show is a select (search) field and not an input field, and it is empty because you have not added any IP addresses under System > server config yet. But as @ahrarsis mentioned, IP addresses should not be used anymore today, you just select * there, which should show there up by default. If * is not shown there, then you probably disabled it under System > server config > web and you should re-enable it there. The field is named "Enable IP wildcard (*)" and it must be ticked. Just as a side not, do not mix * and IP on a server, all sites should use * or all sites should use an IP, but * is preferred for namebased hosting today.
