Dear ISPConfig experts, I am a newbie to ISPConfig, I have set up everything, creating reseller, clients and sites with no problem. However, ALL my created new sites are loading the default webroot (/var/www/apache2-default/) rather than the ones (/var/www/webX/web/) they supposed to load. I have tried all IP addresses from the pull-down menu, but they all pointed to the apache2-default directory. I am using a dedicated server with real ip addresses. Any help will be really appreciated. Thanks in Advance!
Is the dedicated IP address listed in the pull-down menu of the websites? Is the domain of the website pointing with a DNS A-Record to this dedicated IP address?
Hi till, Thanks for your prompt reply. When creating the sites, I have "Create DNS" and Create DNS-MX" checked. About the pull-down ip address list, it does appears there. I have added it to the list manually from the system config gui. Am I did anything wrong? By the way, while I am restarting networking with etc/init.d/networking restart, it shows some message as below: ------------ Setting up IP spoofing protection: rp_filter. Reconfiguring network interfaces...SIOCDELRT: No such process SIOCDELRT: No such process SIOCDELRT: No such process ifup: interface lo already configured done. ------------ Is there something wrong? Thanks a lot!!!
What I can see under the DNS Manager --> sitename --> Records is: A Record ======= IP-Address Host Name xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx www There's nothing in CNAME MX ======= Mailserver Hostname some.name.tld www Is that seems alright? Many thanks!
Is your DNS server aothoritive for this domain? It is not enough to create the DNS records, you must tell the domain registry also that your server is now authoritive (responsible) for this domain. Changes in name services may take up to 48 hours to become valid.
Hi Till, Yes it is resolved to the set dns servers. I have created two dns servers (ns1 and ns2) in the same machine with two additional dedicated ip addresses. The dns seems working fine as it response to the pings. By looking up the domain names, they response to show the two dns rightly within whois. I believe that there might be something wrong with server settings or ISPconfig settings, its nothing on the registra side. Thanks, any idea will be helpful!
