I'm fairly new to Linux but use both AIX at work and Mac, though those are both unix based. How similar is Linux to these and is there any easy way to figure out what commands work for both unix and linux?
Many commands exist for Both Linux and Unix. Try to use the commands you know on Linux, then you'll see if they are available. if the commands use different options, then use the man page to look them up.
