Ok so i have setup a ubuntu sever which is running ISPConfig. Now heres the thing i dont get. How do i setup namesevers/dns server so i can point domains to my local computer? I do have a domain registered with namecheap. So what do i need todo/ get to get this tottaly finished?
If you want to run your own nameserver, have a look here: http://www.howtoforge.com/ispconfig_dns_godaddy The procedure is similar for all registries. If you just want to have one or a few domains, you should consider to use the nameservers from namecheap (if they provide dns service) instead of running your own nameserver. DNS can be a bit troblesome for beginners.
