New to running a webserver.

    Ok so i have setup a ubuntu sever which is running ISPConfig.

    Now heres the thing i dont get. How do i setup namesevers/dns server so i can point domains to my local computer?

    I do have a domain registered with namecheap.

    So what do i need todo/ get to get this tottaly finished?

    If you want to run your own nameserver, have a look here:

    The procedure is similar for all registries.

    If you just want to have one or a few domains, you should consider to use the nameservers from namecheap (if they provide dns service) instead of running your own nameserver. DNS can be a bit troblesome for beginners.

    I would just point your domain you have registered with namecheap to your servers ip

    ty for the tut. Im gona try it with namecheap. If anyone has done it with namecheap help would be appricated.
