I just came across this guide

    Code:
    http://www.howtoforge.com/virtual-multiserver-environment-with-dedicated-web-mysql-email-dns-servers-on-debian-squeeze-with-ispconfig-3

so I was got interested in dedicated server ( I always used a shared hosting) so I purchased a dedicated server for learning now I have dedicated server with four IPs (External/WAN IPs) now as guided in the above guide all the IPs used are internal/LAN IPs. Now the question is should I use external IPs instead of the LAN IPs or something else.

Is there a similar guide for CENTOS/UBUNTU.

Use external IPs because otherwise you will have to set up port forwarding.

No. But if I were you, I wouldn't use CentOS because ISPConfig is developed mainly on Debian and Ubuntu. The Debian guide probably works for Ubuntu as well.

    Hi DirtyTodd

I recommend you to use Debian as it works great with ISPConfig (or the other way around). However I'd use CentOS for the OpenVZ node as the OpenVZ kernel is RHEL based and therefor you can have the latest version on CentOS from the official repository.

I have choosed CentOS for my server.. But I am still confused about the IP Configuration

suppose I have my External IP: 69.x.x.x
what should I use as gateway while setup of the OS

as i tutorial a LAN IP is used : 192.168.1.100 (example)
hence the gateway (routers IP) : 192.168.1.1 (example)

    Btw thanks for the replies.

Are your servers in a local network, or do they have public IP addresses?

In that case you should ask Leaseweb what your gateway is.
