in the title... after I set up the perfect server and it's running well and i have ispconfig running well on port 81, i'm not exactly sure what to do next to get a site hosted and available outside my network.
You must first create a customer, and afterwards you can create a web site for this customer. Is this what you needed to know?
Well yes and no, I'm a little bit confused on things like why a user name is web1_username etc, but yeah, something like that where it could be: step 1: create a new client (since I think the verbiage is client and not customer). After I first set it up it definitely wasn't clear to me that I had to set up a client first and then a site. I think I tried doing it the opposite of that at first. step 2: create a new site step 2a: setting up email for the new site I'm just not sure what to do with it now that it's all set up. It's not really all that clear, and I'm still not sure everything I have is set up correctly for my ispconfig installation. Do the dns entries happen automatically after creating a site? And there's so much other stuff there I'm not even sure what it does, but your tutorials are a thousand times easier to understand and easier on the eyes to read than technical documentation of each actual feature. I don't know if what I'm saying makes any sense. Maybe I'm just retarded. Cheers
