Before you guyz are tempted to flame me, let me say now that I am a happy but recent convert from Windows...pretty technical but have not used Unix since school.. I am running Ubuntu for AMD64 and Gnome 2.20.1. I followed the Mac4Lin install instructions but after I click on install and point to the extracted file folder, select metacity per instructions, I get a message saying that " ....theme installed correctly". However, the option to apply the theme does not appear and the Leopard icon never appears in the list of available themes. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, MosFetMan Seattle,WA
Can't apply Mac4Lin on Gnome 2.20.1 Yes, I have also rebooted after every attempt. It's very strange becasuse I can apply the icons and backgrounds for the Mac4Lin themes but not the them itself.
Try manually extracting the gtk/metacity theme to either /home/<usrname>/.themes or to /usr/share/themes (as root).
