Hi all, I've never used Nginx but I really need to start using it as from performance point of view it seems from what I've read a way better than Apache. How does it work with ISPConfig? If I install it by following the relevant howto is it working via the GUI as the rest functionality or it needs any custom configuration? How it handles for example the mod rewrite URLs? From my understanding it doesn't parse the htaccess and you need to put some rules into custom files/configuration.
For shared hosting environments, Apache is better imo. For hosting private, self managed websites, nginx is probably better. It is supported out of the box. You can put them in the redirect settings of the web or add custom things as nginx directive in the options tab.
