    Hello
I've followed the How to guide for Ubuntu 8.04 and ISPConfig available here.
There were no errors during the install except for warnings about Name/VirtualHost and port mixing. But from what I have read this is no problem.

Problem is I cant start stop restart ISPConfig since /etc/init.d/ispconfig_server does not exist.
Any idea how I can solve this?
Currently have no idea if ISPConfig is working or not.

    Thx in advance

There is no problem, ISPConfig 3 just has no daemon, so there is no init script. You seem to mix up ispconfig 2 and 3. ISPConfig 2 is a different software and it has the deamon that you are seeking here in your ispconfig 3 setup.

Just login to your server on port 8080 or the port that you selected during install to find it out.

    Hehe ok.
Well currently aint got no working domain. Thought perhaps ISPConfig wasn't running.
The location where ISPConfig3 is supposed to be returns unknown host.
server.example.com:8080 returns unknown host when pinged
    server.example.com pings fine
    example.com returns uknown host.

Think my DNS stuff is somewhat whacky at the moment.

You dont need a domain, you can access it by IP on port 8080 as well.

    Apparantly I could. Thx.
Now I just need to get the stupid domains in order. They really don't like me.
