Hello. I would like to run SSL using LE in docker. Debian hostname -f returnes: acd3cc44bef0. I think this could be a problem? Where to start to let SSL with Let´s encrypt run? Debian must be exposed to internet using FQDN? There must be running own DNS on debian?
For which services? Judging on your questions, you are basically beginning at zero in your server administration career. Start with going to ispc interface, create a website and check the "SSL and LetsEncrypt" boxes. This will give you an SSL certificate for the domain of the web. All other services are a bit more complicated and you should learn more about them before doing these changes. Can easily break your system. When you have done that, have a look at: https://www.howtoforge.com/tutorial/securing-ispconfig-3-with-a-free-lets-encrypt-ssl-certificate/
Docker is not supported: From: https://www.howtoforge.com/communit...doesnt-populate-error-logs.83835/#post-399640
I don´t see problem in docker. Linux in docker is exposed to internet and reachable. So why it sshouldn´t run? Please some real advice?
See link from post #2, it contains all steps that you must follow: https://www.howtoforge.com/tutorial/securing-ispconfig-3-with-a-free-lets-encrypt-ssl-certificate/ But before you do that, your system must have a valid FQDN (fully qualified domain name) as hostname (see ISPConfig perfect server installation guides) and this hostname must exist and DNS and reachable from the outside (internet).
