I want install ubuntu 8.04. I hav XP installed on my PC.I hav keep 20GB drive for installation of ubuntu 8.04 Any tutorial link for installing ubuntu 8.04 with XP? Thanx in advance.
Read: if you want ubuntu with GNOME or, read: http://howtoforge.com/the-perfect-desktop-kubuntu-8.04-lts if you want ubuntu with KDE KDE and GNOME are X systems aka GUI... While reading those tutorials, the only change you need to do is that you select MANUAL option when Partition the disk window shows up. Manual partition is also in the tutorial, just below the first option. As long as you don't overwrite the Windows partition, everything will be ok.
well i hav got ubuntu 8.04 LTS desktop edition though mess it. It is not kubuntu. BTW: what is KDE & GOME?
Hey I am on a fresh Wubi install with the following partitions: c:\ windows installation d:\ubuntu (wubi) + some other data like videos, music etc. Now I can see the c:\ drive from ubuntu but not the d:\ drive. Please help. !
