    Was just wondering if anyone had and suggestions on extending the LVM

    Currently when i try and extend the current LVM with a new drive i have added i get the following errors

    Device /dev/sdc1 not found (or ignored by filtering).

    i know its something to do with this filter line in the lvm.conf (as per tutorial)

    filter = [ "a|drbd[0-9]|", "r|.*|" ]

    i am new to LVMs and i was just wondering what the best way to approach this is

    Thanks

    I made some rough outlines about the asked question here:
    http://access.rzschernsdorf.de/download/openfiler_2x_clusteradd

    In general dont add attached disks directly if you want them clustered, allways use drbd for this:

    You want to create a new drbd config, meta-data on /dev/sdc, then add the new drbd device to your existing LVM Volumegroup and increase the Logical Volume ontop of it. ( After this you have to resize the partition which contains the real data and sits on this logical volume. )
