With the release of OpenSolaris 2008.05
    http://www.opensolaris.com/

I suggest to create Perfect Server and Perfect Desktop how tos.

What do you think about all this?

Thanks. I guess it's new for a lot of people, but since OpenSolaris is trying to Linuxize itself, it should become very popular soon.
anyway, it's just a suggestion. Maybe I will learn it and create a how to for everyone. I find it very interesting.

Hi, it would also be great if someone could post a "perfect install" for the open solaris as well as a "asterisk + opensolaris + freepbx"

That is something that i can't find anywhere...

There's also a system called Nexenta Core.
It uses GNU software with GNU/Solaris kernel and is simillar to Debian.
    It looks nice :)

The OpenSolaris itself should become Debian like "distro" eventually. Ian Murdock, the creator of Debian is working on the OpenSolaris, and his goal is to make this UNIX system a competitor to all Linux distros.

    Nexenta is still alive?

I'm under the idea that it has died long ago.
