    Hi there

Is there going to be an update to get OpenVZ that runs via ISPC3 on Debian Buster any time soon?

Or is anyone willing to create a new one?

Would love to try it out.

I've looked at the available tutorials but they don't seem to work for Buster

    Many thanks

OpenVZ for Debian/Ubuntu is deprecated so you should not suspect a working setup for this with ISPConfig.

The VM module should be rewritten to support a new daemon, but we have not decided if we will do this and if so with which daemon. We are very busy with all kinds of things regarding ISPConfig, so I don't think one of us will pick it up any time soon.
If somebody wants to pick this up, feel free.

My understanding is support for OpenVZ is dropped from ISPConfig 3.2, so it is not going to be available.

OpenVZ stopped developing its Linux Kernel several years ago, so no Linux Distribution that uses Systemd can run on the classic OpenVZ Kernel anymore. Therefore, we decided to remove the module from ISPConfig as it's simply not usable anymore.
