My company services a number of hosting clients, with more coming on frequently. We are having a problem that after setting up a new clients' e-mail information, our e-mail servers now recognize their domain as local, and fail to deliver messages to them. This is often done far in advance of them transferring the actual domain/assets as part of an automated setup.

What I am looking for is a way to either.

    1. Force delivery to the mx listed on DNS, regardless of whether there is a virtual domain entry.
    2. Forward outgoing messages to an outgoing-only smtp server.

We are using postfix. The second option would likely be preferred but I cannot figure out how to set it up so that all the messages would be routed correctly.

If you are not hosting their mail you should not be accepting the mail on your servers.
