Overwrite previous Samba install

Recently had a server fail and I want to remake samba with the Samba for 6.10 tutorial.

I had partitioned the /home directory to save the data on another disk.

I am now trying to recreate the users and the result is:

 

Does the users group exist?

What's the outout of

Code:

grep user /etc/passwd

?

 

FYI I overwrote the whole thing and started fresh.

backed up the data to another drive and then wrote again.
