I did a search and came across this thread: https://www.howtoforge.com/community/threads/password-reset-email-not-sent.84349/ I don't know whether it should now be working. Initially, when I tried resetting a password, it looks like it works, but I get no email. I've now played around with a few settings and get a "You cannot request a new password yet. Please wait a few minutes". What settings should be configured System -> Main Config -> Main ?
Ensure you're using the latest ISPConfig version, then set the smtp related settings in main config: Use SMTP to send system mails SMTP host SMTP port SMTP user SMTP password Use SSL/TLS encrypted connection for SMTP
Thanks Jesse, I've tried that now, using my FQDN, port 587, email address as username and password, STARTTLS, and get the same message: . Running ISPconfig 3.2.5 on Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS.
That means you have to wait a bit to request another password reset, it didn't attempt to send one, and is unrelated to your smtp settings.
