Perf. Debian 3.1 setup, question about maildir

    Hello,

    First of all, thank you for a great tutorial, worked like a charm.

    Some questions though.
    Where does ISP config put the hosted files?
    I mean like the web pages that users upload, and mail.

    The reason I ask is that I would like it all to be on /var as this drive is mirrored.

    That depends on what you entered during ISPConfig installation. If you entered /var/www as suggested in the tutorial, then all web sites are in /var/www. If you use Maildir, then the emails are also somewhere in the /var/www folder, otherwise they are in /var/spool/mail.

    I picked /var/www during installation.

    And I picked Maildir, since I want to use IMAP

    Will also users mail then be dropped there?
    Would that not give any users who knows the path, access to the mail folder?

    Yes.
    No, because they don't have the correct permissions.

    btw, a side question.
    Are you part of the people who do remote installations?

    Please PM me if that is the case, I have some question about that option.
