Please can you tell me the technical background for which reason /etc/hostname should contain the fqdn. I want to know, is this stringently for ispconfig or only a recommendation? Thanks Detlev
This is required for amavisd. Without that setting, amavisd will not start and the mail system will not work. So it is required that you set it that way.
