Is vm01 on the same network as dom0, or is it on its own virtual network? What's the output of Code: ping -c4 www.google.com and Code: ping -c4 216.239.59.99 on vm01?
Yes vm01 is on the same network as dom0 Both pings produced "network is unreachable" results. Pings on dom0 returned good results.
I think I figured it out. I added a default route via the command line. I did not have a default route in the routing tables. Adding it fixed the apt-get problem. Which file do I add this to so that it will init on reboot. Thanks.
Create a bash script in /etc/network/if-up.d, add your route in there and make it executable. It will then be executed whenever you boot your system.
