https://www.howtoforge.com/community/threads/debian-9-php-5-6-7-2-with-sury-and-isp.79528/ I don't know what happens with your old php version but there is a repo for jessie. But basically there shouldn't be much difference, check wether you use systemd or init.d maybe.
Hi ztk.me Thanks for your reply, but there is nothing wrong with my repo, I am looking at what is the best tutorial to follow so we can choose either php5 or Php7 for different sites, a tutorial like this: https://www.howtoforge.com/tutorial/how-to-install-php-7-on-debian/ But for Debian jessie Cheers Scorp
hmm most of the things should work accordingly, usually the old versions causing issues https://www.howtoforge.com/community/threads/the-perfect-server-debian-9-stretch-add-php-5-3.77549/ but why you need/want to compile all on your own and have to check for every update?
