I started with the simple control panel from godaddy, installed ispconfig and the ip address shows the php code, like php is not installed. I have it enabled for the domain, but I need to look at the site through the IP before making it live.
Shouldn't PHP work with the IP as well as the domain names?

    Thanks for any help.

    Have a look here: http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1461&highlight=disable+globally

You must use domain names to connect to the web sites created with ISPConfig because ISPConfig configures name-based vhosts. If you use the IP address instead, you will see the Shared IP page (if you have set up web sites in ISPConfig) or the default web site (if you haven't created web sites in ISPConfig yet) where PHP is disabled.
