Anyone here who might have some working code on how to post a "message" to the owners Twitter account?

Hello, I would like to send also a twitter message to my own account at the moment I have updated my channelfile which is used with an EPG importing system. So at the time I have saved this file on my site for example with a little script with FTP function (this I know how to do) I would like to put a tweet online that the file has been updated. I use Ubuntu LTS 10.04 server so it has to be done with scripts. could someone guide me here?
