We have install the current version of ispconfig with 3 different PHP versions (5.6, 7.1 and 7.2). The PHP handler is FAST-CGI. The admin, the reseller and the user can see and select this 3 PHP versions. But only the admin and the reseller an change the version. If the user is change the PHP version, no error message is diplayed. But the PHP version has not changed.
I have search in this forum for this problem and play with some settings, but i found no solution.

    Can everbody help me?

    Regards,

If you edit a site as the admin or reseller, the client can no longer edit it; I forget the name of that feature, it's something like client protection mode (ie. it protects clients which might break their site configuration from doing so). To change that you have to edit the ISPConfig database directly, eg. in phpmyadmin, there is not a way to change it in ISPConfig yet (though there is a feature request open for that).

Details can be found in previous posts, eg. https://www.google.com/search?q=site:howtoforge.com+admin+protection+riud

Looks like its actually called admin protection.

Thank you. Now I understand the feature / function. We would like to switch from ispCP to ISPConfig. And ispCP works differently.
