    I installed LAMP successfully. But it seems that the phpmyadmin seems to be having a problem,

    Code:
    # aptitude install phpmyadmin
    The following NEW packages will be installed:
      dbconfig-common{a} javascript-common{a} libjs-mootools{a} phpmyadmin wwwconfig-common{a}
    0 packages upgraded, 5 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
    Need to get 0B/5,092kB of archives. After unpacking 20.9MB will be used.
    Do you want to continue? [Y/n/?] y

    from the logs it seems that you already had phpmyadmin installed..

    try this..

    dpkg --purge phpmyadmin

    apt-get autoremove phpmyadmin

    apt-get install phpmyadmin

    also verify if /var/www/phpmyadmin exists..
