piranha loadbalancer

i installed ipvsadm and piranha. but when i am checking status of pulse

#service pulse status
i am getting error "pulse dead but subsys locked"
after this i deleted /var/lock/subsys/pulse, still same issue is going on.

i am configuring this loadbalancer on openVZ's VPS.

 

Upto this point you are OK.


Further kill the PID of pulse.

Crosscheck ther is no pulselock, if it exists then rm that

Then try to stop & then start the function.Reference link

Hi srijan,

i am configuring this in OpenVZs CentOS VPS.

when i configuring : VIRTUAL SERVER it is asking for DEVICE eth0:1 but openvz uses venet0.

after saving eth0:1

[root@lb ~]# service pulse status
pulse dead but subsys locked
[root@lb ~]# service ipvsadm status
ipvsadm: IPVS is not running.
[root@lb ~]#

getting this all issues...

For this you need to do bridging as follows from Bridging

After successful bridge, please kill the pulse as explained above in thread in badge number 4.
