Hi to everybody. I'm testing a local mailserver that will download emails from a mailserver realized using ISPConfig3 (perfect debian server). Now from my tests I can see that more or less the speed of a POP3 collector is about 1Mb/s. There is any limitation in the ISPConfig server to the speed of a POP3connection? I'm saying that because I would like to increase the speed of that POP3 collector... Thanks Michele
Where is the mail server located? Is it in a datacentre with fast interenet connections or is it just connected on an adsl line?
The email server is hosted by 1&1 under a fast connection. How can I check it and maybe remove that limitation? thanks Michele
A possible but lenghty way would be to place a large file on a apache and download it from an external sorce, then you will get xxx download speed witch will be what the server is uploading at.
Yes I've already done that test and the connection of my server is really fast, so it's not for sure that the problem... More possible is a POP3 limitation (limitiation of the protocol or limitation made in some config files)
Yer, its proberly a config file on the uploading server, are your using a proxy? or and other type of routing? What mail server ae you using?
No proxy or any other routing... I've a mailserver based on ISPConfig 3.0.1.6 (perfect debian server)
