Hi@all Some days ago I installed Portable Ubuntu on my external harddrive and tried it -> ok! Today I copied it to a USB-stick (formatted with FAT32) - the DOS-shell starts shortly and then exit. I tried again from my external harddrive -> the same as from stick! WHY??? Greetings from Vienna/Austria Zwieferl
Hi! Your post is one year old, and nobody replied you... I am having the same problem. apparently, according to the web site http://www.howtoforge.com/running-ubuntu-on-windows-xp-with-portable-ubuntu it is probably because of the windows firewall, they say: but they don't say which are these applications... Could somebody give an answer to that? Thank you so much... Camille.
